What it is and why it matters
The tunnelbana is often the simplest way to cross the inner city and reach many residential districts. Lines are grouped by colour, but destinations and platform signs are more reliable than colour alone when planning a trip. Several stations are also known for art and architecture, making an ordinary journey part of the city experience.
